Can you tell us about how you work?

What will we talk about prior to booking with you?

        Location recommendations?

        A.

I grew up by the lake in beautiful Port Credit, Ontario and moved to Oakville a few years ago. I document love all over Ontario, from Toronto, to Cottage Country in Muskoka and Parry Sound, to the east in Prince Edward County, and west to our stunning wine country in and around the Niagara region. I also photograph weddings across Canada and internationally.

What time of day would our photos take place?

It is truly about what works best for you and what you’d love your photos to look like.  However, I usually recommend booking your photos the hours just before or after sunset. Early morning, or late afternoon sessions are when the light is the most soft and beautiful, and there’s just this magical feeling at those times in the day. Just before sun up, sun down and twilight are my most favourite times to work!

What happens afterwards, and how long does it take to receive our photos?

You venture home relaxed, enjoy an amazing cup of whatever makes you happiest, and leave the rest up to me.  Portrait and Engagement Sessions are delivered to you in via online gallery within three weeks.  Weddings are delivered via online gallery between six and eight weeks. You receive print rights for all images delivered.

Do you have any wedding vendor recommendations?

Absolutely!  There are some truly talented and kind wedding professionals across the city that I’ve met and have loved working with over the years. These include a wide range of Ontario wedding professionals; kick ass planners, designers, florists, beauty professionals, food and desserts, filmmakers, calligraphers, stationery, and pretty much anything you can dream up that would fit into a wedding day. I have a recommended vendor list I include with each wedding package and I would love to connect you with them!

        And a little more technical...

What kind of gear do you use?

I use a Canon 5D mark iii, and my favourite prime lenses – the 35mm, 50mm and 85mm.  I carry back up gear with me to every wedding to ensure complete coverage if any equipment is not operating correctly.  This includes a second camera body, memory cards that always stay with me and extra batteries. I work with two cards in my camera so there is a second back up being made while I am photographing your moments.  I back up my work on two separate hard drives and Cloud when I arrive home.  Moments matter, and you can never be too careful when looking after people’s memories.

May I edit the photos afterward?

I would kindly ask for no edits after your photographs are received.  When you hire a professional photographer to create images for you, you are investing in not only the session, but their art and professionalism, which involves hours of careful editing and retouching of each image you receive to make them the absolute best for you.

May we have all the files or the RAW files from our session?

Unfortunately I do not give out RAW or unedited images, as a professionally edited photograph is me creating and delivering my art and best work to you. You are receiving the most lovely ones.  Part of my job is ensuring I document your moments, and with those may come some blinking eyes, mid-conversation, or light tests along the way.  I deliver about 500-600 of the best wedding images. I ensure multiple shots are taken through each moment so I am able to choose the absolute best ones to provide to you.  The photos selected for you are the ones that come from the heart; ones we work super hard to get during your most genuine moments.

What is the difference between Print and Copyrights?

Copyrights in short mean the images remain property of the image creator, Marcucci Photo. With print rights, you wouldn’t have ownership of an image for distributing or selling, but do have complete permission to make copies or prints as you’d love to. We offer beautiful hand crafted albums and prints, and would love to provide you with some information on ordering these through your final gallery should you love to!

If there is anything else you’d love to know or questions you have for me, get in touch! I would be so happy to answer them for you.
