Love to know what couples ask the most?  Check out the below
for frequently asked questions and information on rates + travel.
If you have any other questions at all, feel free to contact me here.

Where are you located?
I grew up by the lake in beautiful Port Credit in Ontario, Canada and recently moved to Oakville, Ontario a few years ago with my husband.  I document weddings all over Ontario, from Toronto to our beautiful cottage country, as well as cross-Canada and destination weddings.  Some of my favourite locations I’ve photographed in Ontario are Niagara on the Lake, the Muskokas, Parry Sound, and the Kawarthas.  Can you tell I love being near the water?

What do you photograph?
I mainly photograph weddings, elopements and engagements, but I love to spend time creating personal work, including travel images and portraits; portraits of new mommas, really cool businesses and families are some of my favourites.

What kind of gear do you use?
I use a Canon 5D mark iii, and my favourite prime lenses – the 35mm, 50mm and 85mm.  I also carry back up gear with me to every wedding, to ensure complete coverage if any of my equipment was not operating just right.  This includes a second camera body, memory cards that always stay with me and extra batteries. I take peace of mind in shooting with two cards in my camera, so there is a second back up being made while I am working;  I also back up the photos on two seperate hard drives when I arrive home.  You can never be too careful taking great care of people’s favorite moments.

How can I book a session?
Check out the contact form here, or send me a quick email with your name, the type of session and date you’d love.  Also, please tell me about yourself!   I love getting to know what puts a smile on your face, the first time you laid eyes on your sweetheart, or something beautiful about you – it makes for amazing conversation.  It also lets me get to know you better, which helps me create the photos that are so much of what you are, and ones that mean a ton to you.

How does pricing + payment work?
For Portrait Sessions:  Session payment is required in full.   For Weddings:  50% of your collection and a signed contract is required to secure your wedding date.  The remaining 50% is due two weeks prior to your wedding date.

What will we talk about prior to booking?
Part of our discussion will include the technicals; location, dates, etc., and then the fun bits; who you are as a couple, what you love about one another, and if there is any really rad stuff I should know about you.  I would love to meet you and chat over coffee or tea!  Once you choose a date and location for your session, I will send an email that includes your contract to read over + sign, as well as some sweet information to prepare you for your photos.  I am happy to answer any questions you may have at anytime.

Location recommendations?
Absolutely!  One of my favourite things is exploring in and around this gorgeous city, finding the dreamiest places for photos along the way.  You wouldn’t believe how many awesome locations we’ve stumbled upon simply by getting outdoors.  We can chat about where you’re most comfy with travelling to and go from there.  I am always down for an adventure outside of the GTA too!  Check out this post for my top locations I’d love to visit in Ontario in 2017 – they are such beautiful little places.  If any of these interest you, let me know and I would love to talk about organizing an adventure date with you!

Will you travel?
A big huge, YES!  I love to travel and explore new places, and a huge plus is getting to take my camera with me to document an amazing story.  If you are interested in booking a travel related session, a destination wedding, or are in love one any of the places listed here, send me an email and lets talk adventure.  Travel fees may apply.

What time of day would our photos take place?
It is truly about what works best for you, and what you’d love your photos to look like.   I would recommend early morning, or late afternoon sessions, when the light is the most soft and beautiful.  Just before sun up, sun down and twilight are my most favourite times to shoot; and I find the images that I have produced around these times in the day have been simply stunning.

What happens afterwards, and how do we receive our photos?
You venture home relaxed, enjoy an amazing cup of whatever makes you happiest, and leave the rest up to me.  Portrait and Engagement Sessions are delivered to you in a beautiful online gallery within three weeks.  Weddings are delivered via online gallery between four and six weeks, with a USB of the images via snail mail shortly after.  You will receive print rights for all images delivered.

What is the difference between Print and Copyrights?
Copyrights in short mean the images remain property of the image creator, me!  With print rights, you wouldn’t have ownership of an image, but would have complete permission to make as many copies or prints as you’d like.

May I edit the photos afterward?
I would kindly ask for no edits after your photographs are received.  When you hire a professional photographer to create images for you, you are investing in not only the session, but lots of hours of careful editing and retouching of each image you receive to make them the absolute best for you.

May we have all the files or the RAW files from our session?
Unfortunately I do not give out RAW or unedited images, as a professionally edited photograph is me creating and delivering my best work to you; but do trust that you are receiving the most lovely ones.  Part of my job is ensuring I document your most amazing moments, and with those may come some blinking eyes, mid-conversation, or light test shots.  I deliver about 500-600 of the best wedding images, and ensure multiple shots are taken of each moment so I am able to choose the absolute best one to provide to you.  The photos selected for your eyes are the ones we work really hard to get, at the most beautiful and raw moments.

Do you have any wedding vendor recommendations?
Amazing question – absolutely!  There are a ton of extremely talented and kind creative professionals in our city that I have met and loved working with over the years, and I would love to connect you with them whenever needed.  These include a wide range of wedding professionals; really kick ass planners, florists, beauty professionals, the most amazing food & desserts, cinematographers, calligraphers & invitation creators, and pretty much anything you can dream up that would fit into a wedding day.
