        Toronto Islands Sunset Engagement Session

Ahh – where do I even start with these two!  I met Jinying + Sam at the entrance of the Ward’s Island Ferry Terminal, and was greeted with the biggest hug from the two of them.  One of my favourite things about photography isn’t just taking the photos, its getting to know my couples as friends, and having the chance to remember their stories every time I sit down to write about each of them.  Every single time I get to write about an experience, adventure session, or wedding, I truly have the biggest smile on my face – because it is hands down the raddest job.  I make people smile for a living. I document what love is for people, and give them back the little moments that would have otherwise escaped them.

I smiled the whole way through the editing of this session, and just again as I’m writing now.  These two did not stop laughing and having so much fun the whole time we adventured and explored Ward’s Island.   Sam made her gut laugh with the smallest of gestures – like the throw your head back kind of laughs!  And he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her when she did.  The sun had just dipped below the Toronto skyline, and we had a bit of time before the ferry back, so we sat down at the sweetest cafe on the island for a quick bite and tea to warm up.  We talked about everything we loved, about the summer, they asked about my sweet hubby, and I asked them everything he loved about her, and her about him.  At the end, it didn’t feel like just an engagement session; it felt like a day well spent with great friends, and that is what I truly love the most.
