Banff Adventure Engagement, Lake Louise & Moraine Lake, Alberta
This summer I was lucky enough to cross one of the most beautiful places off of my bucket list because of the love between two people. Sabrina & Paul reached out to me to photograph their wedding this upcoming summer, and mentioned they were going on a mini summer vacation to Banff, Alberta, which is where they would love to have part of their story photographed. I was totally floored and so grateful to be heading out there with them, and soon found myself on a plane to Calgary so pumped about the adventure we were about to go on.
After a night at my cozy Air Bnb in downtown Calgary, I drove to Canmore and met them in the sweetest little coffee shop, The Range, where they sipped tea and had a chance to get cozy with each other before we headed for Banff. We made our way to Lake Louise, and found the air filled with smoke from the wildfires in BC that week. It was such a beautiful day, but still so upsetting that the wildfires had spread to wide, the smoke carried as far as we were. Still, I was in awe with how stunning Lake Louise looked in person, and felt so grateful to be standing there because of these lovely two. We sat for a few moments on a quiet side of the lake to check out the deep blue of the water and the layers of the Rockies surrounding us. They cozied up in each other’s arms, us all looking up in complete awe of where we were and how tiny we felt compared to the tall pines and mountains above. With the sun starting to set, we packed up what we had with us and made our way to Moraine Lake. One sweet hike later, we found ourselves at the top of the lookout for one of the most unreal views I’ve seen, and ended their adventure engagement there with the sun setting over the evergreens below us. Sabrina & Paul, thank you so much for the adventure, I am so honoured to have documented the first part of your story and so excited to celebrate with you two in Ontario next summer!
