I am so excited to share these dreamy couples photos from Stoney Lake in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. Oh the lovely world of Social Media. It can be a little overwhelming sometimes, but the times it is amazing and we use it to connect with people, it can be one of the most awesome tools out there. That’s right where I met the beautiful Jas, of Wild Green Life. I followed along eagerly with Jas’ world, as I loved her fresh take on life, her recipes and reading her informative about staying healthy and active.
She posted about life at her cottage, her pup, being out in the boat, exploring the islands of Stoney Lake and so many more beautiful things that I connected with; so one day I reached out! We ended up chatting about all the beautiful things and started the plan for a summer visit up to Stoney Lake to photograph her with her love, Luc.
The day came and I made the beautiful drive up to Kawartha Lakes, stopping along the way for all of the photos I could. It is so beautiful out that way! I parked at the boat launch where Jas and Luc were to pick me up in their tin boat. They are truly the sweetest couple and getting to explore the lake with them was such an awesome time.
We took the boat to one of their favourite islands on the lake, took our shoes off and explored, chasing that beautiful beginning of summer sun until it fell behind the clouds. We packed up and headed over to Jas’ parent’s cottage for another adventure as the full moon lit up the twilight. The sky turned incredible shades of purple and pink and we took photos until all the light ran out. I drove home with such a full heart, great tunes and the windows down. What an awesome start to the summer photography season! Jas and Luc, thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me into your lives for these little moments and for an amazing time!
