As I opened up my inbox one late summer morning, one of the email titles caught my eye. It read, “Flash Mob Wedding”. Wondering what that could be all about, I quickly clicked and what I’d read next ended up being the start of one of the most awesome weddings I had the chance to photograph this year. I am so excited to share this beautiful and intimate Humber Bay Summer Elopement in Toronto with you today.
Peggy and Sandun are two of the sweetest people I’ve met, and they planned their amazing day on the shores of Humber Bay Park in Toronto. They had a flash mob wedding!! I am the happiest to be able to share their incredible day with you, and hopefully give you some awesome inspiration to plan a Flash Mob Wedding of your own one day! With the CN tower as their backdrop, Sandun waited patiently for Peggy to arrive. Their friends and family were scattered around the park, waiting to hear the music that would queue them into the start of the wedding celebration. That moment, a friend held up a speaker high over his head the way John Cusack did in Say Anything. The music echoed through the park as people looked on, their loved ones gathered around just beside the lake and Sandun’s smile never left his face from that moment.
Peggy arrived a few moments after with her parents, and the rest of the daylight was spent celebrating the two of them under a fading pink sky, before they were whisked away to an intimate backyard dinner to end off the evening. With the warm evening wind on our skin, we wandered the beach at Humber Bay Park for the dreamiest photos. There were so many smiles, laughs, hugs, hand holds, and the most genuine moments filled with love on that day that it filled me up for a lifetime. Peggy & Sandun, I had the best time photographing your elopement and story, and I am seriously the luckiest girl to have been able to witness something so incredible between two of the best people! Sending so much love to the two of you always and a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart again for having me.
